Big Data

Applying big data at industrial level.

Big Data is a set of data with characteristics (volume, speed, variety, veracity, etc.) which to control a particular problem at a given moment in time they cannot be processed efficiently using traditional technologies and techniques to extract their value. (ISO/IEC JTC 1 Information Technology, 2014)

Bulk data

There is no quantifiable measure for Big Data, it is data that is considered massive when the use of new scalable architectures provides new business efficiencies over traditional architectures, that is, when functionality cannot be achieved using relational database platforms.

The objective is to differentiate between the data that provides value and that is reliable. Our work in Orbita Ingenieria is to identify for each process which of the data collected is important for the operation, identify them, monitor them and display them in the most effective way.
